With over 14 years in eco-tourism leadership across East Africa, he champions sustainable indigenous employment and habitat preservation.

A seasoned mountain tracker with an extraordinary knowledge of the Virunga volcanic ecosystem and avian biodiversity. Jean-Damascene has led hundreds of volcanic ascents and birdwatching expeditions across Mount Mwiko, captivating guests with his uncanny ability to spot endemic bird species and medicinal rainforest plants.

Immaculée is a celebrated artisan elder in Burera who leads Frama’s famed Banana Beer Making workshop and traditional weaving circles. Her infectious laughter, deep ancestral folklore, and warm hospitality offer guests an authentic and heartwarming window into timeless Rwandan traditions.

Trained in classical gastronomy and passionate about ancestral volcanic ingredients, Chef Faustin designs every menu around the lodge’s organic permaculture garden. He turns heritage cassava leaves (Isombe), sweet plantains, and local lake tilapia into sublime, wholesome dining experiences.

An aquatic expedition specialist and competitive paddler who grew up on the shores of Lake Ruhondo. Aline guides our tranquil Twin Lakes kayak excursions, secret cove explorations, and sunrise island expeditions with unmatched energy and water safety expertise.
