Born and raised in the rolling hills overlooking Lake Burera, Emmanuel founded Frama Nature Adventure with a vision to blend organic high-end eco-hospitality with community-driven reforestation. With over 14 years in eco-tourism leadership across East Africa, he champions sustainable indigenous employment and habitat preservation.
Jean-Damascene Habimana
Head Wildlife Naturalist & High-Altitude Ranger
A seasoned mountain tracker with an extraordinary knowledge of the Virunga volcanic ecosystem and avian biodiversity. Jean-Damascene has led hundreds of volcanic ascents and birdwatching expeditions across Mount Mwiko, captivating guests with his uncanny ability to spot endemic bird species and medicinal rainforest plants.
Immaculée Mukamana
Master Brewer & Cultural Elder
Immaculée is a celebrated artisan elder in Burera who leads Frama’s famed Banana Beer Making workshop and traditional weaving circles. Her infectious laughter, deep ancestral folklore, and warm hospitality offer guests an authentic and heartwarming window into timeless Rwandan traditions.
Chef Faustin Uwiringiyimana
Executive Chef & Permaculture Director
Trained in classical gastronomy and passionate about ancestral volcanic ingredients, Chef Faustin designs every menu around the lodge’s organic permaculture garden. He turns heritage cassava leaves (Isombe), sweet plantains, and local lake tilapia into sublime, wholesome dining experiences.
